Obra elaborada polo escultor Manuel Buci\u00f1os, foi inaugurada no ano 2003.  <\/p>\n<p>No ano 1616, Diego Sarmiento de Acu\u00f1a liderou a defensa de Baiona e do Val Mi\u00f1or fronte aos ataques do pirata Drake, o que lle valeu a admiraci\u00f3n de Felipe III, que lle concedeu o t\u00edtulo de I Conde de Gondomar. Estamos #ante un dos pol\u00edticos m\u00e1is importantes do SXVII e embaixador de Espa\u00f1a en Inglaterra. En 1623 intercede, xunto con outros nobres, na adxudicaci\u00f3n por parte do rei , do voto de Galicia nas cortes de Castela.
